Department of Islamic Jurisprudence and Fundamentals of Islamic Law

Overview of the Group:
The Islamic Jurisprudence and Fundamentals of Islamic Law group is among the first academic groups established at Ardakan University. Since the university’s founding, this group has been actively involved in training experts in this field, a commitment that continues today. In 2013, the master’s program in Islamic Jurisprudence and Fundamentals of Islamic Law was established at Ardakan University, with numerous graduates over the years. Additionally, in 2023, the group collaborated with the Political Science Group to establish the Master’s program in Political Jurisprudence, admitting students in this field from the same year. Currently, this group has five faculty members, continuing its educational and research activities.
Introduction to the Discipline:
Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) is deeply rooted in divine revelation, developed through ijtihad (independent reasoning) and inference, offering a comprehensive legal system with significant influence on global legal systems. Specifically, Imamiyyah Jurisprudence has profoundly impacted Islamic countries’ laws and serves as the foundation for Iran’s civil, criminal, procedural, and partially commercial laws.
Objectives of the Group:
The group aims to train specialized professionals to meet the country’s needs in judicial centers, legal consultancy for organizations, bar associations, legal advisory firms, and notary offices. Additionally, it seeks to prepare experts for cultural, educational, research, and social institutions, including schools, universities, research centers, and similar entities.
